Everywhere is someone's front line.
Earth, 2066. For thirty years the sea came inland, and the world rebuilt behind it, further back from the water or straight up. Six blocs divide what is left. War never stopped. It stopped being called war.
The lines between the powers are where operators work: freelance crews, contracted units and splice crews, many of them gene-forged, built to someone's order from wolf, bear, raven and jaguar stock. In 2066 more than half of them answer to no faction, and no registry counts them all.
The World Book is the whole world in one big illustrated volume: hundreds of plates, maps and in-world documents, with a glossary, a gazetteer and an index.
